About La Gata Pirata
Our Story
When Rose met and fell in love with Chad, she was introduced to the world of food allergies and dietary restritions. Later, she became celiac, and the amount of foods the couple could share together shrank even further. Armed with professional culinary experience and a passion for sweet treats, Rose decided to test and create recipes that were gluten-free, vegan, and safe from the top 9 allergens in the US. After perfecting her desserts for years, Rose decided to take the plunge and open her own commission bakery service in order to cater to those with dietary restrictions like herself and Chad, because everyone deserves to have access to safe and delicious food.
We are a small, home-based bakery located in East Syracuse. Named after our beloved pirate kitty, Leela, and with a nod to Rose's Spanish roots, La Gata Pirata is honored to serve the Upstate New York region.
